Port Townsend, the Quimper Peninsula, and the Olympics

Port Townsend is both a delightful visit and an incubator for forward thinking projects. The town is a historic Victorian seaport surrounded by natural and scenic splendor. Hosting a thriving arts, crafts, and performance scene, it is also a maritime center for independent boat-builders and related industries.

The Quimper Peninsula, which it crowns, is a center of the sustainable food renaissance and home to exquisite rides and many pedal enthusiasts. We are near the dynamic intellectual center of Seattle, adjacent to a World Heritage Site of nearly one million wilderness acres, and bordered by the deep waters and rich sea life of the Salish Sea.

We aim to harness some of this tranquility and energy in our programs and partner with other groups exploring uplifting possibilities.

A nice image, the one used at Finisterre, is a hand drawn map from the county museum.
